Chris Brown Disrespects Rihanna & Karrueche Tran By Dating Both

Chris Brown Love Triangle

Chris — you went through the effort to officially break up with Karrueche and you committed to Rihanna. So why are you back to stringing both along? It’s not cool.

Chris Brown – you may think that you can have both Rihanna and Karrueche Tran as your girlfriends and bedmates at the same time, but you are asking for trouble. Big trouble. It was just a few weeks ago in New York City that you broke up with Karrueche after clubbing with Rihanna and having sexy overnights at her hotel. You asked Karrueche to move out of your L.A. home, which she did, and you started getting even more serious with Rihanna – visiting her at her music studio while she recorded and then spending the nights together.
Rihanna even came out to support you at your new Qubeey website event pm Oct 20, where an eyewitness told us that you made her feel like a “princess”. You thrilled her by acting like a gentleman, holding out her chair, getting her drinks and kissing her and holding her hand. It was your first public event as a couple together since your terrible breakup three years ago.
So Chris, what are you thinking now? In the past week you’ve started seeing and leading Karrueche on again. You went with her to dinner at L.A.’s Wokcano restaurant, Oct 26, after going to the opening of the Wild Style store together. Then, on Oct 28, you both went to the same Halloween party at  GreyStone Manor. Meanwhile, sources close to Rihanna tell us she’s hard at work in studio finishing her album and that she’s still feeling like she’s #1 in your life and she isn’t worried about a “side piece,” according to a source close to her. “She ain’t a number two pencil. She’s a highlighter and everything shines with her.”
Why Both Rihanna and Karreuche Will Get Fed Up Fast
Well, I’m glad that Rihanna is feeling secure with herself and your love right now, but if you keep seeing Karrueche, or allow her to start staying at your place again, I doubt that Rihanna is going to keep feeling so comfortable that you are “her” man.
Then there’s Karrueche, who’s clearly decided that sharing you is better than not having you in her life at all. Even though sources told us that she was furious with you for dumping her, she still loves you and has told friends that she can’t resist you when you’re “texting her and sending her photos of the two of you together”, according to a source close to her.
Listen Chris, I’m sure that Karrueche still loves you and loves the lifestyle she had with you. It’s only been a few weeks since your split, so it’s understandable that her feelings are still strong and you were involved with her for two years. But  in her heart, she’s not going to want to put up with being #2 on your girlfriend list for long. No woman would be. Her self-esteem will suffer and she’ll start resenting both you and Rihanna … big time.

Chris, you may think you are “calling all the shots and have everything under control” as a source close to you has told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY, but you are seriously kidding yourself
.
No Man Can Keep Two Women Happy
No man can keep two women “under control” in romantic relationships at the same time for long. Rihanna believes you are her “true love”. She told that to the world. She also has made a declaration to her fans with her new album, that she is Unapologetic about reuniting with you — even if some of them don’t approve. She sings romantically about your love in her new single  ”Diamonds” — “When you hold me, I’m alive “– and she has told friends that she feels “on the moon” now that she has you to herself.

Chris Claimed He Didn’t Want To Be A Player
That doesn’t seem like a woman who’s going to be happy if she thinks you’re cheating on her with Karrueche. She may be so busy with recording her album now that she’s not focusing on you stepping out on her and she may be happily in denial but she’s not going to be “cool” with it for very long — believe me.
Chris: the fact that you’re just 23 is really showing now. And I know that you love Rihanna and you really like Karrueche too, and I know you’ve asked in a personal video “if it’s possible to love two people at once.” Well it may be possible but it’s NOT a good idea! You said in that same video that “I don’t want to hurt either of them. I’m not trying to be a player”, but guess what, you are and will hurt both of them and seeing Karrueche again after splitting with her IS acting like a player.
Chris — you made your decision and chose Rihanna. If you truly love her, then quit messing with both girls heads and hearts and break up with one of your women for good!

‘Jersey Shore’ Stars Speak Out On Devastation After Hurricane Sandy

In the wake of the catastrophic Hurricane Sandy, which destroyed much of Seaside Heights, N.J., the cast of the ‘Jersey Shore’ is showing love for the beach town that made them famous.

After Hurricane Sandy ripped through the East Coast, the coastal city of Seaside Heights, N.J. suffered devastating damage — roads and houses submerged in water, and much of the once-populated boardwalk is left in shambles. The cast of the Jersey Shore, who spent several summers and TV seasons in the popular beach town, are grieving over the loss of their former home.
“Over the last few years, it feels like Seaside Heights has become my second home,” Vinny Guadagnino told MTV News. “My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who was affected by this disaster in Seaside and all across the Northeast. I’m here to support in any way I can.”
“The impact Hurricane Sandy had on the Jersey Shore is beyond devastating,” Sammi Giancola said. “So many families and homes were destroyed and my heart and prayers go out to everyone affected by this storm.”
“Thinking of everyone on the east coast stay safe through this horrible time #hurricanesandy,” DJ Pauly D tweeted on Oct. 29.
The damage was surreal for JenniJWowwFarley, who tweeted, “Crying over the damage the jersey shore and my town received. Legit boats are on the roads I used to drive. I cannot believe this,” on Oct. 30.
Snooki also showed her love for Jersey Shore residents via Twitter. “Seaside Heights suffered bad from the hurricane and my prayers go out to everyone affected! We are all fine here…love you JS,” she wrote on Oct. 30.
Our thoughts are also with the residents of Seaside Heights, and everyone affected by the devastating Hurricane Sandy.

Levi Johnston dons camouflage while tying the knot with Sunny Oglesby | Love Bites: Celebrity Relationships - Yahoo! omg!

Sorry, ladies — Levi Johnston is off the market!
Bristol Palin's baby daddy married his girlfriend, Sunny Oglesby, in Wasilla, Alaska, on Sunday. The couple — who welcomed a daughter, Breeze Beretta, in September — exchanged vows in front of about 100 friends and family members during the evening affair. "Inside Edition," which will run a story about the wedding on Wednesday, reports that Levi was a nervous groom and that he was sweating profusely during the ceremony. He also became tongue-tied during his vows at one point saying, "To have and to hold — whatever you say," which made guests laugh.
As far as wedding attire, it should come as no surprise that Johnston wore a black suit accessorized with what appeared to be a camouflage vest and bowtie! The 22-year-old has long been a fan of the military print. Just last month, when he showed off the first photos of his daughter, who was controversially named after the firearm, he was dressed head to toe in the pattern. And his wedding dreams have long included the look. Back when he was going to marry Palin, with whom he has a 4-year-old son, Tripp, he planned to wear a camo vest. Meanwhile, bride Sunny went the more traditional route. The petite blonde wore a strapless white gown with beading on the front. She carried a white bouquet.

The only thing that was missing from the ceremony was little Tripp. Johnston told "Inside Edition" that Palin, who has been in Los Angeles where she recently competed on "Dancing With the Stars," would not allow the boy to go the wedding. He then admitted that he didn't actually tell his ex when the nuptials were going to take place. He only asked if he could have Tripp for the weekend and she said no. "I wanted him to be my ring bearer," Johnston told the TV show.
Someone who did make it to the wedding was Johnston's sister, Mercede. Throughout the night, shetweeted photos of herself with the bride and groom, and also shared her well wishes. "Congrats to my Brother Levi and his lovely bride Sunny!" she wrote.

Last month, Johnston, who is an electrician back in Alaska, discussed his wedding plans and his relationship with the pre-school teacher. "Things are good," he told "Inside Edition." "We're happy at night. We're a family, and that's good." He also said he is done with the Hollywood lifestyle that he so eagerly embraced after Sarah Palin's failed vice presidential run thrust him into the spotlight in 2008. "You couldn't pay me enough to go back to that place," he said. "It just wasn't who I was."

NEW YORK (AP) — Broadway's 40 theaters were dark Monday and producers chose to keep them closed Tuesday as well as Hurricane Sandy took aim at New York City.
The Broadway League on Monday afternoon extended the cancelations of such shows as "The Book of Mormon," ''Once" and "Mama Mia!" for another day, citing safety precautions and the suspension of the city's public transport system.
Charlotte St. Martin, head of the league, expects normal operations to resume Wednesday morning.
Refunds will be made available from the point of purchase. Most Broadway shows were already dark on Monday night, but the loss of Tuesday's revenue will hurt.
It was the most disruptive storm for the theater community since Hurricane Irene in 2011 prompted cancelations of weekend matinee and evening performances.

Confidante put drugs in Britney's food, singer's mom testifies - Yahoo! News

The one-time confidante of Britney Spears said he crushed up drugs in the pop singer's food to help her sleep and disabled her phone lines during the height of her meltdown five years ago, Spears' mother testified on Friday.
Lynne Spears told the Los Angeles jury in a civil trial that Sam Lutfi, Britney's self-styled manager at the time, described his actions to her in a January 2008 exchange at her daughter's Los Angeleshome.
"Those were his exact words," Lynne Spears said on her first day on the witness stand. "I was very worried and I didn't know what to do so I tried to get her away from there."
Lutfi is suing Lynne Spears for defaming him in her 2008 book "Through the Storm," in which she related some of Lutfi's actions in 2007 when he became the singer's closest friend, and moved into her house.
Lynne Spears admitted under cross examination that she did not call police despite her concerns about her daughter.
She also acknowledged she had been estranged from her daughter for months in 2007, and that Lutfi told her he wanted to help reunite them.
Lynne Spears' book also claims Lutfi tried to cut the singer off from her family, and portrays him as a figure who controlled her every move.
Lutfi, who met Spears in a nightclub in 2007 and has said he tried to wean her off drugs, testified tearfully earlier this week he received death threats after the book was published.
The week-long trial has lifted the lid on the much-publicized meltdown by Spears in 2007 and early 2008, in which she went through a divorce, lost custody of her two kids, shaved her head and wielded an umbrella at paparazzi.
Lutfi is also suing Spears for a portion of her earnings at that time, claiming the "Toxic" singer hired him as her manager.
Lutfi further alleges Britney's father, Jamie Spears, punched him in the chest in 2008, during a period when the singer was twice held in a psychiatric ward in a Los Angeles hospital.
Jamie Spears was later named conservator of his daughter's personal and business affairs, and the family took out restraining orders against Lutfi.
Spears, now 30, has since made a comeback with world tours hit albums and a new job as a judge on TV talent show "The X-Factor". She is not expected to attend the trial.

(Reuters) - Natina Reed, a member of the R&B singing trio Blaque, was struck and killed by a car as she walked in a major roadway in Georgia, police said on Saturday.
Reed, who also appeared in the cheerleader movie "Bring It On" in 2000, would have turned 33 on Sunday.
She was struck by a car at about 10:30 p.m. Friday on a state highway just north of the Atlanta suburb of Lilburn, Gwinnett County Police Sergeant Rich Long said.
The car's driver called 911 and a passenger performed CPR but Reed was pronounced dead at an area medical center, police said. Authorities ruled the driver was not at fault and no charges were expected to be filed, Long said.
Investigators were trying to determine why Reed was in the road, Long said.
As part of Blaque, Reed performed the 1999 hits "Bring It All to Me" and "808" with fellow members Shamari Fears DeVoe and Brandi Williams.
Reed's fellow group members said in a statement on Saturday that Blaque had recently reunited and the group was working on an album and a reality show.
"My world as I know it has forever changed," DeVoe said on Twitter on Saturday. "Until we meet again, may you find comfort in the arms of an angel. I love you Natina."

Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart’s Prince Concert Date — Sexy Reunion In LA - Hollywood Life

Robert Pattinson Kristen Stewart Prince Concert

Rob and Kristen reunited on Oct. 25 for a top secret Prince concert after spending days apart, promoting ‘Breaking Dawn Part 2′ overseas.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were spotted exiting The Sayers Club in Los Angeles on Thursday Oct. 25 after checking out the Prince concert!
Rob, 26, and Kristen, 22, just returned to Los Angeles after both Twilight actors were promoting Breaking Dawn Part 2 overseas. Rob was in Sydney while Kristen took on Tokyo!
An eyewitness tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “Kristen looked so happy when she came out of customs at the airport. She had a big smile on her face and seemed pretty upbeat. She was in customs for quite a while but that didn’t seem to put her in a bad mood or anything. She had a flannel shirt wrapped around her waist and just seemed really cheerful.”
“When she got out of customs, she was greeted by two tall, bald bodyguards who escorted her to a black SUV. Even though there were photographers outside, she didn’t seem bothered at all. One photographer said Kristen seemed friendlier than usual,” said the eyewitness.
Perhaps Kristen was overly excited because she knew she had a concert date with Rob!
Rob is a frequent visitor to The Sayers Club. The hunky Brit was spotted there on September 30, where he took photos with fans! Unfortunately, Kristen was not present at the time as the two were allegedly still separated following Kristen’s affair.
Fans tweeted about the sighting as well. @Jonathanjaxson wrote, “So glad that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are back together. A friend of mine at a Prince concert last night was right by the lovers.”

[VIDEO] Rihanna & Chris Brown’s Love: Kissing At Party Proves They’re Dating - Hollywood Life

Rihanna Chris Brown Love

Any eyewitness tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that an affectionate Chris made sure that Rihanna had drinks, kisses and all that she needed at his Qubeey launch party on Oct 20! Read more details below.

Rihanna and Chris Brown attended their first event together as a couple since reconciling — Chris’ Qubeey launch party on Oct. 20. They were spotted hugging, sharing a drink together and even sharing a cigarette.

All Business, Some Pleasure

An eyewitness tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “Rihanna came to Chris’ party and that was cool. He knew she was coming though. It was arranged, so it wasn’t a surprise. They were cool to each other. They weren’t on all that sexual tip like they were in New York. This was more PG because it was business for Chris and she was there to support him. But you know them, they still had s**t go down.”
Chris, 23, and Rihanna, 24, hooked up in the bathroom at Griffin nightclub in New York City on Oct. 1. They’re certainly not afraid to show their love for one another in public.

Public Displays Of Affection

“They kissed a few times and were holding hands for a minute. He made sure he claimed her and made her feel comfortable. He was a gentleman — don’t worry. He made sure he was by her side the whole night just like when they first met back in the day. Rihanna is a big star and doesn’t need her hand held, but to Chris — that’s his girl now. Even though she gets treated proper no matter where she’s at, Chris takes charge and treats her like she’s his everything and [he] did that last night. He made sure she had what she wanted and when she wanted. He ordered drinks for them and took her off to the side for a minute and just chilled.”

They Don’t Care What People Think

“S**t, if they’re not used to people seeing them out by now, I don’t know what to tell you. I think they’re way past that now. All they can do now is smile and look happy and trust me, they are that.  They are happy.”
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Are you happy Chris and Rihanna are back together?

Rihanna & Chris Brown Get Love Advice — Dr. Ava Cadell Offers Help - Hollywood Life

Rihanna Chris Brown Love

Rihanna and Chris may be back together, but their road ahead will certainly be rocky, love expert Dr. Ava Cadell tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Do YOU think their love can last this time?

After Chris Brown brutally attacked Rihanna in 2009, many were surprised to find out that two rekindled their romance in the last few weeks. However, forgiving and forgetting Chris’ mistakes will not be so easy for Rihanna.
Dr. Ava Cadell, the founder of Loveology University, exclusively tellsHollywoodLife.com, “Chris Brown and Rihanna’s relationship is on the right path now, but that doesn’t mean that there won’t be some rocky roads ahead for them. She may have forgiven Chris for his violent assault, but she has not forgotten. And the fact that Rihanna’s father was abusive to her mother, makes it ingrained in her brain. I recommend that they both do a forgiveness letter writing exercise.”
Dr. Cadell’s writing exercise goes as follows:
1. The first step is forgiveness. Each individual should write down his/her resentment(s) in a letter to their partner describing how h/h feelings have been affected. Writing these letters is the process of taking out the emotional trash in our lives and allows us to release pent-up pain and negativism on the way to forgiveness. You are forgiving yourselves for allowing these things to happen and forgiving each other for the behavior inflicted upon you.
2. Step Two is saying something meaningful, appreciative and caring to your partner to help re-cement the relationship. Give your partner emotional, physical and appreciative compliments, at least one every day.
“Both Chris Brown and Rihanna are codependent on each other, which is a recipe for a failure in a relationship. They need to work on themselves individually so that they feel complete without each other. To experience true emotional intimacy you must first surrender to yourself so that you feel complete, then surrender to each other to compliment each other. They need to maintain their own identity and let their careers thrive separately, while maintaining a loving relationship together. They need to have their own interests and friends, while embracing each other’s family and mutual friends without competitiveness or jealousy and that’s not going to be easy,” Dr. Cadell adds.

Rihanna Sexting Chris Brown — Sending Sexy Pics While In The Studio - Hollywood Life

Rihanna Sexting Chris Brown — Sending Sexy Pics While In The Studio - Hollywood Life: "Rihanna Sent Chris Brown Sexy Private Cell Phone Pics In The Studio

Rihanna Sexting Chris Brown

While Rihanna’s in the studio working hard on her new ‘Unapologetic’ album, she’s also working overtime on her relationship with Chris. HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY learned Rihanna sent Chris sexy photos of herself while in the studio. Read on for all the details!

Rihanna is making sure Chris Brown knows exactly how she looks at all times, now that their relationship is back on. Rihanna hit up the studio around 2am on Friday, October 19 in Los Angeles and between recording sessions she was on the phone with Chris, sending him sexy pictures!
“She took a break between laying down some vocals and hit Chris up for about 30 minutes,” a source close to the singer EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. “She went in a booth and talked to him and was taking pics of herself on her Instagram and sending them to him.”
“She was in the booth just laid back on the chaise and chatting him up. She was smiling and sh** and had this warm glow on her face. Whatever he was saying to her made my girl feel like a queen.”
And it appears as if Rihanna is a queen in her own right. Our source says the “S&M” singer’s life is “much smoother” now that Chris is back.
“I know it’s a lot damn easier for her to concentrate and work hard now that Chris is back in her life,” our source adds. “She don’t worry about the bulls**t no more. She don’t wonder about what he’s doing or who he’s with. It’s like she feels more secure and confident when he’s in her life.”
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported , Rihanna tweeted lyrics from one of her new songs, presumably the title track “Unapologetic,” in which she pretty clearly refers to Chris. “I found the one, he changed my life … But was it me that changed and he just happened to come at the right time?” Rihanna tweeted Oct. 19, followed by the hashtag #UNAPOLOGETIC.

Jef Holm & Emily Maynard Break Up — Reality TV Hurts Daughter Ricky - Hollywood Life

Jef Holm and Emily Maynard Break Up

Emily Maynard — you’re done looking for love on a reality TV show – that’s an order! After two reality dating stints, and two short-term fiances, you need to put Ricki’s needs first — not your spotlight cravings. Emily Maynard, now that your romance with Jef Holm has crashed and burned, you need to protect your little daughter, Ricki,7, from the public eye from now on. It’s hard enough on children to watch their single parents date. It’s scary and confusing to have new people come into their lives, competing for their parents’ affections. But in Ricki’s case, she has only known one parent her whole life because her father died before she was born. Emily, you are Ricki’s anchor. You are her everything. That is a tremendous responsibility, and you mustn’t take it lightly. Your daughter is deeply attached to you, and so you have to be careful when you introduce new potential “daddies” into her life. Ricki Wants A Real Daddy, Not Fly By Night Daddies Bringing new men into Ricki’s life has to stir up a lot of emotions for her. On one hand, she would probably love to have a daddy of her own. But she also probably fears losing you, to a man. After all, she doesn’t really know what it’s like to share her mom. But it’s even tougher for Ricki than for most children in a similar situation. #1) You’re her mom, and you have had two “fiances” within a very short period of time that you’ve asked Ricki to accept and get close to. Then, #2) You’re doing your romancing on TV in the public eye, and little Ricki has to know about it, hear about it and see it. Ricki has probably seen you flirting and even kissing different men on TV. That must be so confusing and probably upsetting to her. Plus, her friends and all their parents have probably watched you on TV. Ricki is just seven years old, and that’s so embarrassing for her. She probably cringes when her friends say that they saw you on TV…especially if they saw you kissing or being intimate with all these men. Poor Ricki Got Attached To Brad and Jef So, Ricki has to cope with all the typical conflicting and upsetting emotions that any child of a single dating parent has to deal with, but she also has the pressure of your very public romances, on her little shoulders. Then there’s the fact that she probably formed some attachments to Brad Womack and Jef Holm. Why wouldn’t she? You as her mom would have encouraged her to like Brad and Jef — after all, you were engaged to them. Brad and Jef both spent time with Ricki — especially, Jef. Jef was carpooling Ricki to school and was even there for her milestone first day of school this year. “First day of first grade was a success,” he tweeted on Aug. 23. He even got involved in her soccer league. “Today is the big day, my first game as Ricki’s soccer coach. Running thru the playback in my mind”, he tweeted as recently as Sept. 15. How disappointing for Ricki to get attached to Jef, have him play Dad and then have him leave her life. Emily — you can’t do this to Ricki again until you have truly found “Mr. Right Forever”, not “Mr. Right for the Spotlight.” “Children should not be introduced to a new boyfriend until the relationship is serious. The person could disappear and the child will be disappointed like in this case,” agrees psychotherapist, Dr. Gilda Carle, Today.com’s 30 Second Therapist. “It’s too bad. The kids establish ties with these new partners — and all of a sudden, they are not around anymore.” Your Daughter Needs To Be Your Focus Again Ricki has already had too much loss in her young life. You need to shield her from future emotional loss even if it means staying away from all future reality show dating, Emily. Let Ricki’s life get back to normal. Let her be stable and have you around devoted to her. After all, you’ve been away no doubt for weeks at a time filming The Bachelor and the The Bachelorette. “It would be best for her mom not to date for a while, and certainly not to date anyone high profile. Instead, she should spend a lot of time with Ricki to help her heal,” advises Beverly Hills psychiatrist, Dr. Carole Lieberman, author of Bad Girls: Why Men Love Them & How Good Girls Can Learn Their Secrets. Emily, you must have learned by now that reality TV is NOT the place to find true love. I hope you’ve also learned that it is NOT the place to find a great dad for Ricki! Do you agree, HollywoodLifers?

Rocking at 50: Rolling Stones to tour again

LONDON (AP) — You can't always get what you want — but if your desire is to attend a Rolling Stones concert this might be your lucky day.
The legendary band said Monday it would return to the stage this year with four concerts in Britain and the United States. The shows will take place on Nov. 25 and 29 at London's O2 Arena, followed by gigs on Dec. 13 and 15 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, just outside of New York.
The shows mark the first time in five years that the Stones have performed live, with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood all coming together once more. The band said it was the "crowning glory" of celebrations marking its 50th anniversary of its first gig.
"Everybody loves a celebration, and London and New York are two good places to do it in!" Jagger said in a statement.
The Stones have sold more than 200 million records, with hits including "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," ''Street Fighting Man" and "You Can't Always Get What You Want."
But in recent years much of their income has come from touring. Their last global tour, "A Bigger Bang," earned more than $500 million between 2005 and 2007.
Their legions of fans will hear era-defining tracks such as "Gimme Shelter," ''Jumping Jack Flash," ''Tumbling Dice," ''It's Only Rock and Roll," plus a few surprises and other classics from GRRR!, the multiformat album coming out in November.
"GRRR!" is a greatest hits collection that includes two new songs "Doom and Gloom" and "One More Shot," recorded recently in Paris — the first new recordings since the 2005 album "A Bigger Bang."
The band promises an all-new, custom-built set design, featuring the tongue and floppy lip logo, that will "reach out into the crowd." A wider tour is not planned, though the Dec. 15 performance will be available on pay per view.
The tour comes despite some famously testy times.
Richards and Jagger have been creative catalysts and sparring partners — sentiments aggravated two years ago when Richards published his autobiography "Life."
They've nonetheless appeared amicably together during events that marked their 50th anniversary. A documentary about the band, "Crossfire Hurricane," premieres at the London Film Festival on Thursday.
In another milestone marking their five decades of music, the Museum of Modern Art in New York will host "The Rolling Stones: 50 Years on Film," a retrospective chronicling the band from the mid-1960s until today. This exhibition will be open Nov. 15.

NYer accused of defrauding Broadway show 'Rebecca'

NEW YORK (AP) — A former stock broker was arrested early Monday on charges of defrauding the producers of the Broadway musical adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock's psychological thriller "Rebecca."
Mark Hotton, 46, led the producers to believe he had $4.5 million in financing commitments and the possibility of a $1.1 million loan, said Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara.
He was arrested at his West Islip home and was awaiting a court appearance later Monday in Central Islip.
The planned Broadway production of the 1938 novel collapsed earlier this month amid questions about its financial backing, and a growing suspicion that one of its primary investors — a secretive businessman named Paul Abrams who had supposedly pledged $4.5 million, then suddenly died of malaria — never existed.
"Mark Hotton perpetrated stranger-than-fiction frauds both on and off Broadway," Bharara said. "Hotton concocted a cast of characters to invest in a major musical — investors who turned out to be deep-pocketed phantoms. To carry out the alleged fraud, Hotton faked lives, faked companies and even staged a fake death, pretending that one imaginary investor had suddenly died from malaria."
Hotton was charged with two counts of wire fraud, each punishable by up to 20 years in prison. His attorney, Heath Berger, did not immediately return a call for comment.
Hotton also was accused of using a similar scheme to trick a Connecticut-based real estate company into paying $750,000 to him and entities he controlled, Bharara said.
According to the criminal complaint unsealed Monday, Hotton misled the producers into believing he had secured the money from four overseas investors, who in fact did not exist. The producers agreed to pay Hotton $15,000 in fees and commissions between March and June 2012, prosecutors said. He was also paid an additional $18,000 "advance" against his 8 percent commission, they said.
The investigation, which began in September, found that when it became obvious that investors' commitments would fall through, Hotton allegedly tried to broker a $1.1 million loan for the producers.
The musical was influenced by the classic Hitchcock film, based on the Daphne du Maurier novel about a wealthy Englishman, his new wife and a manipulative housekeeper — all haunted by the hero's dead first wife, Rebecca.
The prosecutors say Hotton "enlisted his same cast of invisible men to carry out a real estate scam." They did not name the Connecticut real estate company.
"In his alleged scheme to defraud investors, Mark Hotton wrote, directed and starred in the work of fiction he took to Broadway." FBI Acting Assistant Director-in-Charge Galligan said. "He even allegedly played the supporting characters - phantom investors who existed only in fictitious emails and Hotton's bogus assertions about them."

‘Once Upon A Time’ Recap: Emma Sabotages Her Return To Storybrooke

A surprise wedding, a tragic death and THREE timelines to keep track of! Anybody else feeling ‘Lost?’ Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) gained a powerful new ally on the Oct. 14 episode of Once Upon A Time … or so they thought. After a long journey to Snow’s castle — which involved Snow killing an ogre; and Aurora, who I hate more than anything, almost stabbing Emma — they learned their new buddy Lancelot (Teen Wolf‘s Sinqua Walls) wasn’t who he appeared to be. It turns out Cora (Barbara Hershey) murked Lancelot years ago, and thanks to her shape-shifting evilness, she’s been pretending to be him ever since! As a last resort to keep Cora from crossing over to Storybrooke, Emma torched the magic wardrobe — but it looks like Cora’s got a Plan B up her wicked sleeve. (Side note: I know we’re supposed to hate her, but am I the only one who loves Cora? She’s so bad… but she’s so good.) Baby/Mama Drama: Because one Enchanted Forest timeline clearly isn’t enough to deal with, we were also taken back to past Enchanted Forest, where where we learned Lancelot and Snow weren’t always the best of friends. In fact, Lancelot — formerly of the Round Table — kidnapped Snow and took her to King George (Alan Dale), who gave her a fun drink that cursed her womb. This was a little wake-up call for Lancelot, who turned against the king and swore his allegiance to Snow. But by the time the two arrived at Charming’s (Josh Dallas) cottage, George’s men had already shot Charming’s poor mother with an arrow. They took her to the lake where Charming killed that Siren — always a fun trip down memory lane — but when they arrived, there was only enough healing water for one person to have a drink. Charming’s mother pretended to drink the water, but secretly had Lancelot slip it into Snow’s wedding chalice. Oh, did I forget to mention Snow and Charming got married? I guess the big Snow-Charming wedding we saw on the pilot was really just a formality, and Regina crashed their party for nothing. For the sake of the show’s plot, though, I’m really glad she did. Meanwhile, Back In Storybrooke… Thanks to Henry’s (Jared Gilmore) annoying nudging — to be fair, everything Henry does is annoying — Jefferson (Sebastian Stan) was reunited with his daughter, who he thought wouldn’t forgive him for losing her. Maybe now that he’s less grumpy, Jefferson (aka the Mad Hatter) will be able to bring our girls home! In non-annoying Henry news, he did some adorable bonding with Grandpa Charming this week — but I have a feeling their good times are about to come to an end, as the final moments revealed a surprise guest in Storybrooke: King George! (Or whatever name he goes by in the real world.) What kind of trouble do you think George will stir up in Storybrooke? Do you think Jefferson is the key to bringing back Emma and Snow? And, seriously, how much to do you love to hate Cora? Drop me a comment with your thoughts!

Is Tom Cruise Leaving Scientology To Win Katie Holmes Back?

Tom Cruise Katie Holmes Relationship

Tom may be leaving Scientology in order to win Katie back, according to a new report. Do YOU think they should get back together? Tom Cruise is reportedly eyeing an exit from Scientology in a bid to win back ex-wife Katie Holmes. “Now he’s lost the most precious thing in his life, he sees that his Scientology beliefs may not have hurt his box office but have ended not one but two marriages. It was a terrifying and rude awakening for Tom when Katie served him with divorce papers. He’s used to feeling undefeatable and untouchable. When he lost Katie he felt a failure,” a source close to Tom told The People. Tom first became a Scientologist in 1990 when he was married to his first wife, Mimi Rogers. But his second marriage to Nicole Kidman supposedly ended due to his religious beliefs. “He has lost Nicole and now his wife and daughter. He has always used the Scientology techniques but he has now realised they don’t work in marriage,” the friend adds. “If Tom truly leaves, Katie would reconsider. She was in love with Tom, he was her childhood crush, it took a lot of strength to break free. But now she has peace of mind but no love.”

No charges against Octomom on neglect allegations

SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — Prosecutors won't file charges against Octomom Nadya Suleman after a caregiver last month reported allegations of child neglect at her home, an official at the district attorney's office said Friday.
There's not enough evidence to move forward with the case submitted by the La Habra police department, said Susan Kang Schroeder, chief of staff at the Orange County district attorney's office.
Earlier Friday, police in La Habra said they had investigated the allegations of child neglect at Suleman's home and turned their findings over to prosecutors and social services. Police declined to provide details of the allegations.
Suleman has been in the media spotlight since giving birth to octuplets in 2009 after she already had six children. Her manager says she lived in La Habra until two weeks ago, when she moved to the Los Angeles County city of Palmdale.
Suleman's manager, Gina Rodriguez, said the allegations are not true and come from a woman who became obsessed with the children. Suleman moved from La Habra in part to avoid the woman, Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez said the woman befriended Suleman shortly after the babies were born and eventually began stalking Suleman and sending her threatening text messages, demanding to see the children.
"None of the allegations are true," Rodriguez said in an email. "This is a woman who became obsessed with the children and contacted me to help her write a book."

Alex Karras, former NFL lineman, actor, dies at 77

DETROIT (AP) — Alex Karras was one of the NFL's most feared defensive tackles throughout the 1960s, a player who hounded quarterbacks and bulled past opposing linemen.
And yet, to many people he will always be the lovable dad from the 1980s sitcom "Webster" or the big cowboy who famously punched out a horse in "Blazing Saddles."
The rugged player, who anchored the Detroit Lions' defense and then made a successful transition to an acting career, with a stint along the way as a commentator on "Monday Night Football," died Wednesday. He was 77.
Karras had recently suffered kidney failure and been diagnosed with dementia. The Lions also said he had suffered from heart disease and, for the last two years, stomach cancer. He died at home in Los Angeles surrounded by family members, said Craig Mitnick, Karras' attorney.
"Perhaps no player in Lions history attained as much success and notoriety for what he did after his playing days as did Alex," Lions president Tom Lewand said.
His death also will be tied to the NFL's conflict with former players over concussions. Karras in April joined the more than 3,500 football veterans suing the league for not protecting them better from head injuries, immediately becoming one of the best-known names in the legal fight. Mitnick said the family had not yet decided whether to donate Karras' brain for study, as other families have done.
Born in Gary, Ind., Karras starred for four years at Iowa. Detroit drafted Karras with the 10th overall pick in 1958 and he was a four-time All-Pro defensive tackle over 12 seasons with the franchise.
He was the heart of the Lions' famed "Fearsome Foursome," terrorizing quarterbacks for years. The Lions handed the powerful 1962 Green Bay Packers their only defeat that season, a 26-14 upset on Thanksgiving during which they harassed quarterback Bart Starr constantly.
Packers guard Jerry Kramer wrote in his diary of the 1967 season about his trepidation over having to play Karras.
"I'm thinking about him every minute," Kramer wrote.
For all his prowess on the field, Karras may have gained more fame when he turned to acting in the movies and on television.
Playing a not-so-bright bruiser in Mel Brooks' "Blazing Saddles," he not only slugged a horse but also delivered the classic line: "Mongo only pawn in game of life."
Several years before that, Karras had already become a bit of a celebrity through George Plimpton's behind-the-scenes book about what it was like to be an NFL player in the Motor City, "Paper Lion: Confessions of a Second-string Quarterback."
That led to Karras playing himself alongside Alan Alda in the successful movie adaption — Karras and Plimpton remained friends for life and one of Karras' sons is named after Plimpton — and it opened doors for Karras to be an analyst alongside Howard Cosell and Frank Gifford on "Monday Night Football."
In the 1980s, he played a sheriff in the comedy "Porky's" and became a hit on the small screen as Emmanuel Lewis' adoptive father, George Papadapolis, in the sitcom "Webster."
He also had roles in "Against All Odds" and "Victor/Victoria." He portrayed George Zaharias in CBS's "Babe," in which he starred with Susan Clark, who later became his wife. The two formed their own production company and it was Clark who played the role of his wife on "Webster."
Recently, his wife said Karras' quality of life has deteriorated because of head injuries sustained during his playing career.
Susan Clark said her husband couldn't drive after loving to get behind the wheel and couldn't remember recipes for some of the favorite Italian and Greek dishes he used to cook.
"This physical beating that he took as a football player has impacted his life, and therefore it has impacted his family life," Clark told The Associated Press earlier this year. "He is interested in making the game of football safer and hoping that other families of retired players will have a healthier and happier retirement."
Clark has said he was formally diagnosed with dementia several years ago and has had symptoms for more than a dozen years. He joined hundreds of other former players suing the league.
"It's the same thing as back in the gladiator days when the gladiators fought to death," Mitnick, who represents Karras and hundreds of others in the suit, has said. "Fans care about these guys when they're playing and they are heroes. But as soon as you're not a hero and not playing the fan doesn't really care what happens to them."
The NFL has said it did not intentionally seek to mislead players and has taken action to better protect players and to advance the science of concussion management and treatment.
Karras played his entire NFL career with the Lions before retiring in 1970 at age 35. He was a first-team All-Pro in 1960, 1961 and 1965, and he made the Pro Bowl four times. He missed the 1963 season when he was suspended by NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle in a gambling probe. Karras was recognized by the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a defensive tackle on the All-Decade Team of the 1960s.
Karras later wrote an autobiography, "Even Big Guys Cry," and two other books, "Alex Karras' and "Tuesday Night Football." Lewand said Karras also loved to garden and cook.
"We know Alex first and foremost as one of the cornerstones to our 'Fearsome Foursome' defensive line of the 1960s and also as one of the greatest defensive linemen to ever play in the NFL," Lewand said. "Many others across the country came to know Alex as an accomplished actor and as an announcer during the early years of 'Monday Night Football.'"
