Halle Berry is paying quite a price for splitting from her baby daddy Gabriel Aubry. A family court judge has reportedly ordered the "Catwoman" star to pay her ex a whopping $20,000-a-month in child support for their 4-year-old daughter Nahla, of whom they share custody. According to TMZ, the decision came down on Monday during a meeting between lawyers for both the actress and the model. In comparison, Britney Spears was also ordered to pay Kevin Federline that much for their two sons in 2008 ... when he had sole custody. Aubry reportedly claims he needs that much money in order to properly care for Nahla as her mother does, like providing a nice home and clothing.
But this agreement does not mark the end of the bitter custody battle between Berry, 45, and Aubry, 35, which has been going on ever since the couple split in 2010 after five years together. And, lately, it's only gotten worse because the actress has asked for permission from the court to move to France, where her fiance Olivier Martinez is from, with Nahla because she's fearful of the paparazzi.
Aubry has been adamant that she not leave the country, and an evaluation conducted by the court earlier this month revealed that little Nahla and Aubry's relationship "would clearly change drastically if she moves to France," a source close to the situation told RadarOnline. "The bottom line is that the proposed move to France would essentially cut Gabriel out of Nahla's life and the child psychologist determined that wasn't in the little girl's best interest. However, this is just a report, it will be up to a judge to ultimately decide if Halle will be allowed to move to France with Nahla."
And if Berry does get the court's approval, that would likely bring an end to Aubry's $20,000 monthly payments.
