The San Antonio Spurs have won the NBA championship! The Spurs defeated the Miami Heat in an intense match-up on June 15. The NBA team beat Lebron James’ Miami Heat 104-87.
San Antonio Spurs Win NBA Championship
After losing to the Heat in 2013, the San Antonio Spurs were out for vengeance. They never gave up and beat the Miami Heat 104-87 in Game 5 of the NBA finals.
Tony Parker and his Spurs were 3-1 going into the final game and were ready to take home the NBA trophy on June 15. The team played a heck of a game and prevented Lebron James from winning another championship.
During the last 5 minutes, the crowd was just going nuts. The Spurs had taken a steady lead, even scoring over 100 points! This is the fifth championship for the Spurs since 1999.
Sorry, Lebron. It just wasn’t your year. Maybe next year!
