Tyra Banks, a woman who was once one of the world's most elite models and has since started an empire based on the reality competition show "America's Next Top Model" recently stepped out in a gorgeous gown that looked a little familiar to those of us who watch the red carpet. Turns out, it was the same dress in a different shade as the one that Oscar-nominated actress Kate Hudson wore for the 2010 Golden Globe Awards more than two years earlier. Both earned raves from fashion bloggers for their choice of the simple-yet-sophisticated dress (Hudson even inspired a few comparisons to a bride), but only one can win our fashion faceoff. That's right — it's time to put that "Top Model" marathon or the "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" DVD on pause so that we can decide just who wore it best!

Banks, 38, stepped out in her raspberry dress at the Time 100 Gala in NYC in April, where she was honored as one of the most influential people in the world. The media mogul, who's the author of a non-fiction book as well as a novel, accessorized with a gold choker and wore her hair in a cascade of curls.

Hudson, 33, went with a white version of the frock embellished with Marchesa's signature feathers at the 2010 Golden Globe Awards in L.A. The "Almost Famous" actress also wore a sparkling bracelet and long earrings set off by a fancy updo.
This sleek dress is a winner no matter who's wearing it. One of its standout features is an asymmetrical bodice that flatters any waist — not that either of these women need it! Besides the beautiful shape, Banks chose the dress in a perfect color for her skin tone. However, that choker is my least favorite part of her look. She also made a mistake by leaving her hair down. Hudson, on the other hand, pulled her locks back to better show off her lovely shoulders. Her addition of jewelry combined with the color of her garment gives off a whole "Dynasty" vibe, which isn't necessarily a bad thing for me. In fact, I'm calling this one for Kate. Do you agree?
